Jude Law and Sandra Bullock were the inspiration for Reeve and Flossie.
How Does A Modern Woman Find Her Way in 1893 NYC? BY BREAKING EVERY RULE.
A tall, bulked up Jude Law was my inspiration for Reeve.
Sandra Bullock was my inspiration for Flossie.
Ryan Gosling and Gwyneth Paltrow were the inspiration for Hunter and Billy.
What do a lady doctor and World's Fair guard have in common? NOTHING! ... Push comes to shove when these two collide at the Chicago World's Fair.
Gwyneth Paltrow is who I would cast as Billy Jack Tate.
A bulked up Ryan Gosling is who I would cast as Hunter Scott.
A model from the Neil Hamil Modeling Agency and some random guy I saw in a magazine were the inspiration for Rylee and Logan.
What must he sacrifice to catch the villain who threatens everything?
This model was the inspiration for Logan Woods.
This model was the inspiration for Rylee Monroe.
By the way, when I emailed J. Mark Bertrand (co-author) the image for Luke, he emailed back the below and said he'd been thinking more along those lines--though he didn't have a shirtless one to share with me. LOL.
Matthew McConaughey and a model from the Neil Hamil Modeling Agency were inspiration for Joe and Anna.
Everything's set for their wedding ... now somebody needs to tell the bride.
A model was the inspiration for Anna Ivey.
I would cast a bulked up Matthew McConaughey as Joe Denton.
It was our daughter, Tennessee, however, who was on the front cover. When my publisher found out she was a model, they invited her to be on the cover. They cropped off her features, but every time I look at it, I think, "There's my girl's sweet chin and smile."
For my very first book, I used pictures I found in magazines as inspiration for Constance, Drew, and Josh.
Do you believe in love at first *fight*?
I was well into the writing of the novel when I first saw this picture in a magazine. I gasped and thought, "That's her! That's Constance as a child." I tore the sheet out of the magazine and used it to solidify her features in my mind--especially her eyes and the shape of her lips.
If I had to pick out an actress to cast as Constance today, I'd chose Emma Stone--especially with the way her hair was worn in the movie *The Help.*
A young Tom Selleck was the inspiration for Drew O'Connor.
This also came from a magazine and it was my inspiration for Josh O'Connor. I know. I know. You want his story.
I'll tell you what I tell everyone else when they ask ... I put my hands over my ears and say, "La la la la la la la."
The main reason is I prefer to keep my books set in America and Josh's story takes place in England. I'll never say never, but I wouldn't want anyone to hold their breath. :)
